Biography:
He is the jack of all trade and master of all at the same time. Himesh
Reshammiya is a versatile and multi-talented music director, composer and
singer and now the most talked about actor, who has climbed great heights in
a very short span of time.
Not only in Indian but also overseas this nasal-voiced singer-turned-hero is
a huge hit. A rage and a style icon, his debut movie "Aap Kaa Surroor" is a
success story, with youths trying to imitate his looks and personality.
His film, released last month, is a gift to his mother who is the most
important woman in his life. Just before the release of the film the
singer-turned-actor created a controversy by visiting the holy tomb of
Khawja Moinuddhin Chishti wearing a burqa , for which he apologised later.
The controversy worked wonders for the film, which has drawn full houses and
is still running in many cinema halls. And now Himesh's trademark baseball
cap, fitted jeans and belt with an oversized buckle, along with his stubble
and pierced ear are a craze among youths.
The country's new-age singing star, which turns 34 today, is the son of a
Veteran Gujarati music director Vipin Reshammiya and was born on 23rd July
1973.
Reshammiya was in Hill Grange School in Peddar Road when he met his best
friend Prashant Chadha. Prashant gave the composer a new look, the look that
made millions of people, especially women fall for him every time they got a
glimpse of him. Prashant is also responsible for directing all music videos
of Reshammiya, from his private album "Aap Kaa Surroor" to his promotional
videos for movies like "Aashiq Banaya Aapne", "Aksar" & "Tom, Dick & Harry".
