Kajol left school and started her career at the age of sixteen. Her debut film was “Bekhudi” in 1992.

During the bicycle sequence in the first song of the “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, Kajol lost control over her bike she had fallen, fainted and injured her knee. The un-cut version is included in the DVD of the movie. Kajol says that was her favorite part of the movie even though she can't remember the incident.
